Theatre Hosts act as ad hoc theatre ‘managers’ for screenings of their choice. They arrive early and make sure that everything is ready to go by show time. This may mean that you will be needed to fill in for box office or concessions (not projection) in an emergency. A board member is always on call for any questions that arise. Hosts must stay for the entire screening and also are responsible for counting out the funds for that show’s admissions and concessions, and closing the theatre. Theatre Hosts have served for at least six months in another volunteer capacity before becoming Theatre Hosts.
