Theatre Rental

Rental Policy   

The Rental Policy applies to rental of the theatre by other entities.  For the protection of the building and murals and the safety of renters, theater rental will be limited to audiences over the age of eighteen(18).

If a theatre rental will displace a screening, arrangements must be made before the month's film calendar is set, which is 6-8 weeks ahead.  There are no exceptions to this.  If the event displaces a screening, the rental fee will be $500.00 (maximum) depending on day of the week.  

The Fountain Theatre may be rented in the evenings and weekends. Please use the MVFS Rental Request Form (see below). The Rental Request must include the date, time and duration of the event; the entity’s name; and the name and phone number or email address of the contact person. If the request is from a non-profit organization, please include tax ID number or other proof of non-profit status.

After the rental is approved, the board member liaison and renter meet to complete and sign the Rental Agreement, collect the refundable cleaning deposit and 50% of the rental fee.  The renter will forfeit the rental deposit if the event is canceled.

Information regarding the film to be shown, if any, and their format, i.e., DVD, BluRay, etc., as well as all technical information must be discussed in advance with the Head Projectionist.

Renter will make arrangements with liaison regarding concession needs.
